Empowering Tanzanian Communities

Families living with members who have HIV/AIDS can still face discrimination, prejudice and stigma daily. This can cause/causes problems with obtaining employment and sometimes being accepted in their own communities.

We believe in giving communities the chance to be self sustainable and it is especially challenging for women in these communities.

At Child Aid Tanzania, we are strong advocates of empowering individuals and communities. This is why we want to raise funds to provide running water toilet and bathing facilities for women and young girls. We want to provide them with a safe, secure and private environment.

Not only will this provide a safe place to bathe and sanitise, it will also reduce the risks to communities of infection by malaria, typhoid and other diseases spread by poor sanitation
